Syntrain fellow involved in discovery of New Breast Cancer Gene in Young People

Syntrain fellow Karolin Voßgröne co-authors a new publication in which the location and function of a crucial factor (RBBP8) in the development of breast cancer is described. The research was done in collaboration between Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC) and Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen). The research adds important knowledge to our understanding of hereditary genes and the biological mechanisms that underlie the development of breast cancer.

The findings are published in Journal of Clinical Investigation.
